Rafael Nadal, a tennis player, won the ATP Finals in Turin to cap off a successful year.

During the last match of the season, which lasted one hour and forty-three minutes,

he defeated Casper Ruud by scores of 7-5, 7-5. In the Roland Garros final this past June, the 22-time Grand Slam winner gave up only six games to Ruud.

To remain undefeated against Ruud in Turin,

Nadal had to put in a lot of effort despite an ailment and a drop in form, but he succeeded admirably.

Despite losing his early round-robin matches against Taylor Fritz and Felix Auger-Aliassime, Nadal seems committed to finishing the season on a winning note.

Despite dominating his encounter with the young Norwegian, Nadal only managed to lose 11 points overall.

In the waning moments of the opening set, he saved two break chances, which put Ruud under pressure.

Despite putting up a valiant fightback against Nadal, the Norwegian was unable to quell the Spaniard's rage.
