In a pre-game address on Wednesday, Kyrie Irving yelled out to Joe Biden, "Do your job! Get Brittney Griner home!"

Right in the centre of the Barclays Center floor,

the Nets star made the call-out before Brooklyn faced the New Orleans Pelicans.

The 30-year-old took the microphone and asked spectators to support his squad

and comrades before shifting the subject to Griner and the U.S. President.

The point guard stated, "I appreciate us all being able to share this court together as brothers,

but the broader picture that's happening on in the world is release our sister, Brittney Griner, please!"

Calling on Biden to bring Griner home is KYRIE IRVING Do Your Job, POTUS!

Do your job, POTUS, he cried out. "Do your job, everybody! Bring our sister home, please."
