"Rust" investigation case file Text messages from Alec Baldwin after a fatal shooting

Alec Baldwin expressed concern that the incident might have been the result of possible sabotage in text messages

that were recovered from his phone in the days and weeks after the fatal shooting while filming

"Rust," and he questioned the Santa Fe Sheriff Department's capacity to adequately investigate that angle.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department published a 551-page dossier on Friday

that included a wealth of investigative materials, including the Baldwin text conversations,

along with previously made public forensic findings, search warrant affidavits, investigator logs, and witness testimonies.

Months after the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in October 2021

when she was filming a scene for the movie close to Santa Fe, New Mexico, Baldwin's phone was handed up.
