An officer ended being bitten by a woman whom he had pulled over. The woman has HIV.
It happened in Memphis, Tennessee when Dayton Smith, got pulled over for a lapsed tag and a suspended permit. Police looked inside her car and saw marijuana and crack cocaine present. They then arrested Smith.
Inside the police vehicle, Smith demanded she be given access to a bathroom as she had to go. Officers told her she would be able to go later, and that’s when she became extremely irate, and actually attempted to escape from the vehicle.
She somehow managed to exit the vehicle, but was quickly tackled by an officer. She proceeded to swing a set of keys that she had at the officer, before then biting him on the arm which actually drew blood.
Apparently Smith refused any treatment, but ended up being taken to the hospital anyway, and this is where she informed doctors that she had the AIDS virus. The officer was at the hospital as well, being treated for his injuries in the scuffle. He was then released, but his condition has not been disclosed.
The charges against Smith are as follows: violation of vehicle registration law, violation of financial law, resisting official detention, driving while license suspended/revoked, criminal exposure to HIV, aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance and possession of cocaine with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver.
She’s jailed on $50,000 bond.
Back in 2015, there was another case involving a woman who failed to disclose her HIV-positive status to a sex partner. She was actually arrested again for prostitution. She was a sex worker while still not disclosing her HIV status.
For $19 dollars, 28-year-old Mallory Pickett from Louisville, Kentucky offered to give a blowjob to a man, who turned out to be an undercover cop. The cop was investigating a human trafficking case and ended up arresting the woman as a result.
